Kanimbia (meaning Hidden Valley) feels like a moment set still in time where its’ smooth green pastures meets the edge of tropical rainforests. Wander a while amongst its’ grounds surrounding native bushland, dip your toes into our creek waters or just lie back in your claw foot bath overlooking the bush setting which sings to the sounds of our native birdlife.
Kanimbia evokes a sense of calmness and serenity far from the city environs which calls to a deeper longing for peace, tranquility and stillness.
A bespoke luxury experience where in this busy frantic world we have placed quality over quantity with our small number of Safari tents and Traditional Sioux Indian tipis, where our preference is for creativity, hand chosen furnishings and the space to truly relax and rejuvenate.
Coming to Kanimbia is perhaps an easy decision, but leaving may be something else…..

Our guests love the relaxation of bathing in their claw foot baths alongside native bushland letting the moments slip by until a sunset drink beckons on their deck and perhaps a chance sighting of a shy Wallaby grazing amongst the wide open pastures
Or maybe it’s sliding into luxurious linens at the end of each tranquil day filled with the birdsong of Kanimbia as they watch the wood fire gently flicker and warm their individually styled tents whilst discovering the hidden delights of their own intimate Safari sanctuary.
Perhaps it could also be the magic of the mist rising from the paddocks in the early mornings where our towering Tallowood trees stand ghostlike in the stillness.
Or stargazing by their firepit at night and wondering at the splendour and vastness of the Milky Way far from any coastal lights.
However we do know that it’s our friendly hospitality and the warmth of our fur staff welcome to each and every guest, our wide open spaces and woodland walks that entice guests back to sample another peaceful moment in time at Kanimbia.
